Supporting Cancer Treatment for Children with the Warrior Dash

Drawing on more than three decades of experience in project management and optical and electronic systems development, Thomas (Tom) Disselkamp oversees products for clients around the globe as a product development specialist with 3M Company in St. Paul, Minnesota. In his leisure time, Thomas Allen Disselkamp participates in charitable events, including the Warrior Dash in support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

St. Jude Heroes have raised millions of dollars for research through the Warrior Dash, benefiting efforts at the St. Jude Red Frog Events Proton Therapy Center. As the first such center designed specifically to care for young children, it supplies leading-edge proton therapy to its patients battling cancer.

Other activities for adults following the Warrior Dash include a Dogfish Head Stein Standoff and the Tomer Kosher Tug-of-War, as well as contests for the best beard and best costume. The festival also features special photo backdrops so participants can get pictures taken while wearing their fuzzy warrior hats.
