POWER OF LOVE

If there is one thing this world truly needs, it is the power of love. Love, if it can be commanded by God Himself, transcends mere emotions and feelings. Genuine love for someone goes beyond fleeting emotions; it stems from the depths of our will. We have the ability to choose whom we love, but God's commandment for us is clear:

So why should we withhold love from a friend who may seem strange or bothersome? Why does scripture instruct us to "Love your enemies"?

Love possesses a transformative power. I used to believe that the only person deserving of my love, heart, and life was the one I would marry. But that’s not true. Everyone around me deserves love. Acts of kindness, empathizing with others, and approaching life with a pure heart and genuine intentions—these simple gestures hold the potential to foster selfless love.

Can you envision that? People can create spaces for love that go beyond superficial connections, enabling them to understand one another on a profound level and grow stronger together. The power of love can be shared by embracing authenticity. Love should not be solely based on fleeting feelings.

While emotions are significant, their true purpose extends beyond momentary sensations. I learned a valuable lesson from my cousin long ago: liking someone and loving them are distinct experiences. Liking is an emotional response, whereas love surpasses feelings. The challenge lies in our inability to always control our emotions.

Often, our emotions seem to govern us more than anything else. I can love someone I may not necessarily like. I can choose to act kindly and treat that person with respect, even if I don’t feel an immediate affection. Understanding the human heart and the power of love becomes easier when we learn to approach our own emotions with innocence.

A writer once said, "If your brother falls, lift him. If he is tired, support him, and if he is discouraged, encourage him."

We should reach out to others, demonstrating love through our actions. Let us assist those who need our help, foster meaningful connections, and never forget to bring a smile to someone's face. May our love and intentions towards others be genuine and pure. The world craves the manifestation of our love.

I love you!
