Jim Acosta Banned from White House

Trump has bashed on yet another reporter while making fake news claims. Reporter Jim Acosta was trying to do his job on asking Trump some controversial questions after the 2018 election. All Trump did was be rude towards Acosta by interrupting him. It appeared in the video that Trump wanted to avoid Acosta and basically any other reporter that was in attendance. Trump appeared to not want to talk about any controversial topics that would be difficult to answer. I disagreed with this because I feel that every reporter should have the right to ask basically any question that they want to. It goes back to the First Amendment and having the freedom of the press. I do have to agree that how Acosta handled the situation he didn’t give up and kept trying until another reporter said something. Even so it still didn’t matter on who spoke because Trump had shut everyone down.As the president of the United States I feel that it is his job to answer every question that a reporter has. He had contradicted himself when he said that CNN was fake news and that they are biased. He basically was showing his biases when he refused to answer any questions that he didn’t want to answer. He didn’t want to answer them from specific people because of the station they were from. If anything he wasted time by ignoring people and got no where with the whole conversation, that to me isn’t right that the reporters had to be ignored and not be able to get the information that they need.

I also disagreed with the statement that Press Secretary Sarah Sanders made about Acosta. She had lied and made an excuse saying that Acosta had sexually assaulted a woman when he didn’t do that. She claimed that it was the reason why he was ignored. This was completely wrong as well because you can’t just make excuses up. I think Trump needs to work on being able to answer reporters questions without contradicting himself. It;s not a good practice to do as the president of America he should be answering the reporters questions. I think this issue will definitely bring more issues up in the future as far as having reporters reporting on the president. This definitely is a sticky situation that needs to be fixed and fixed soon.
