The official cryptocurrency of Nigeria?
Due to the rising popularity of Revelation Coin, there are some in Nigeria claiming it as the new official crypto coin of Nigeria.
Nigeria is among the youngest demographics in the world and such a claim has raised some eyebrows since cryptocurrency tends to appeal to younger people.
The Revelation Coin Barter System consists of five total coins all with varying total supplies (one coin has a total supply of only 7,000) which can be used between individuals for trading purposes. This is a closer parallel to the fiat bartering system which most people are accustomed to but with a blockchain spin to it.
The project says, the purpose is to create a worldwide system for a person to trade as they wish and completely bypass the banking system.
Nigeria is often referred to as the “Giant of Africa”, owing to its large population and economy. With 186 million inhabitants, Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa and the seventh most populous country in the world. It is the world’s 20th largest economy as of 2015, worth more than $500 billion and $1 trillion in terms of nominal GDP and purchasing power parity respectively. It overtook South Africa to become Africa’s largest economy in 2014. Nigeria is considered to be an emerging market by the World Bank.
